Cumene hydroperoxide is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a sharp, irritating odor. This product is used in production of acetone and phenol, as a polymerization catalyst, in redox systems. It also acts as a curing agent for polyester resins and as an oxidizer in organic chemical reactions. Furthermore, Tashox CHP can be as a free radical initiator for polymerization of acrylate and methacrylate monomers, and polyester resins.
